At the end of the school year, as a tradition, there is a special flag raising ceremony in which Kindergarten students send off their Grade 8 buddies and the Grade 8 students present the kindergarten buddies to the school community. Grade 8 students pass down words of advice and encouragement in a special letter which is handed to their kindergarten buddy during the ceremony.
