Recently, the Fourth Grade students performed in the musical and dance production, “Oh California!” The program takes its audience through the history of our state from the early exploration by the Europeans during the 1500’s, through the Spanish Mission period of the 1700’s, and the Gold Rush of the 1800’s. They perform sea shanties, folk songs, and speeches that were part of the musical history of our great state.
The show is a culmination of our social studies curriculum which covers this same time period but explores it through music and dance.
