Recently, the Seventh Graders had the experience of a lifetime at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Air Force One Discovery Center.  During their visit, the students experienced the responsibilities and challenges faced by the Executive Branch, military, and media of our nation while role playing a historical scenario in a realistic, interactive environment. The Seventh Graders became advisors to the President, top level military officials, members of the White House Press Corps (even President Reagan!) while making split-second decisions centered on the military action taken on the island of Grenada in October of 1983. Along with a combination of pre-visit curriculum materials and post-visit activities, students were able to practice and improve their critical thinking and decision-making skills.
